US Patent No. 9,554,979 B2; The Procter & Gamble Company, Cincinnati, OH has patented a process for preparing a hair care composition. It entails mixing from apigenin and triethanolamine (at a temperature sufficient to allow dissolution of the apigenin in the triethanolamine to form a premixture), combining the premixture with an aqueous carrier to form the hair care composition; and adjusting a pH of the hair care composition with an acid to within a range from about 3 to about 10.
